Tuscan-Style Grilled Tuna Steaks

Tuscan-Style Grilled Tuna Steaks
Tuscan-style grilled tuna steaks are a delicious and flavorful dish made by marinating tuna steaks in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, herbs, and spices, then grilling them to perfection.

The marinade adds a delicious and slightly tangy flavor to the tuna, and the grilling process helps to seal in the juices and create a crispy crust on the outside.

Approx times: Prep: 10 min - Marinating: 30 min - Cook: 8-10 min
Ingredients
Serves 4
  • 4 tuna steaks, about 6 ounces each
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, juiced
Directions
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a shallow dish, combine olive oil, garlic, basil, parsley, rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Place tuna steaks in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Remove tuna steaks from the marinade and place them on the grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes per side for a medium-rare doneness or adjust to your preference.
  • During the last 2 minutes of grilling, baste the tuna steaks with fresh lemon juice.
  • Ensure the tuna steaks are seared on the outside and remain slightly pink in the center for optimal taste and texture.
  • Allow the grilled tuna steaks to rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with additional fresh herbs and lemon wedges if desired.
