Ingredients
Serves 4
  • 1 pound lump crabmeat
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
Directions
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crabmeat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, parsley, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Gently fold the ingredients together, being careful not to break up the crabmeat lumps.
  • Shape the mixture into crab cakes, forming them into patties of your desired size.
  • For best results, refrigerate the crab cakes for 30 minutes to allow them to firm up.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Place the crab cakes in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Transfer the cooked crab cakes to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
