Honey Garlic Glazed Pork Chops

Honey Garlic Glazed Pork Chops
Succulent, tender pork chops infused with a delightful blend of honey, garlic, soy sauce, and spices. The dish begins with marinating bone-in pork chops in a flavorful mixture, allowing them to absorb the sweet and savory essence. When cooked to perfection, the pork chops develop a caramelized exterior while remaining juicy and flavorful inside.

Approx times: Prep: 10 min - Marinate: 30+ min - Cook: 15 min
Ingredients
Serves 4
  • 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1-in thick
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions (optional)
Directions
  • Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  • Honey garlic glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, sesame oil (if using), black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) until well combined.
  • Place the seasoned pork chops in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the honey garlic glaze over the pork chops, making sure they are well coated.
  • Allow the pork chops to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor. Flip the pork chops halfway through to ensure even flavor distribution.
  • Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil to prevent sticking if needed.
  • Remove the pork chops from the marinade, shaking off any excess, and reserve the marinade for later use.
  • Place the pork chops in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely browned and cooked through. The internal temperature of the pork chops should reach 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare to medium doneness.
  • You can baste the pork chops with the reserved marinade to add extra flavor and moisture.
  • Once the pork chops are cooked through, reduce the heat to medium-low.
  • Pour the remaining honey garlic glaze into the skillet with the pork chops.
  • Allow the glaze to simmer and thicken slightly, about 1-2 minutes, while continuously spooning it over the pork chops.
  • Transfer the pork chops to a serving platter, garnish if desired.
  • Serve hot, accompanied by your favorite sides like roasted veggies or mashed potatoes.
